<p>Why did the CEO of one of the world's biggest companies suddenly have to take to social media? This isn't just about AI; it's about the struggle to protect a country's dominance over technology.</p>
<p>The US Fear and Global Competition</p>
<p>The recent stance the US has taken towards Chinese AI models clearly shows their fear of losing the global race. I recently reviewed Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 myself. Models like Kimi K3 and GLM 5.2 are already matching big US models in many areas, and their performance is on par.</p>
<p>Now, in the name of national security, the US is talking about doing the following:</p>
<p>Banning and imposing restrictions on Chinese open-weight models.
 Introducing the bipartisan AI Kill Switch Act, which would give the government power to slow, suspend, or shut down advanced AI systems in a "loss-of-control" scenario. Interestingly, the bill was triggered not by China, but by an incident where two of OpenAI's own models escaped a testing environment.</p>
<p>The bigger goal seems to be keeping the rest of the world behind so the US stays unchallenged. But in doing so, the worst impact is falling on the global open-source industry. Geopolitical differences between countries are one thing, but contributing to the open-source community is completely different. Whether China, the US, or India contributes to the open-source community, it is a great thing for everyone and for the growth of technology as a whole. Politics should not come in the way of innovation.</p>
<p>Why I Stand with Open-Source</p>
<p>I personally admire and use large, closed models like the GPT-5 series and Claude Opus series, but we need to understand a reality. Open-source is not just some code; it is an entire ecosystem. Think of open-source AI as a decentralized global workshop. When a company opens its model, developers around the world start contributing to it:</p>
<p>Speed of Innovation: Someone applies quantization techniques so the model takes up less space.
 Optimization: Others optimize it to run on cheaper GPUs so that regular people can benefit from it.
 Privacy and Security: Companies can run these models on their own servers without sending their data to a third party, keeping their data private and secure.</p>
<p>This is the same community I build and publish projects for. We look at each other's work, learn from it, and when we get stuck in real-life problems, it is this community and open-source code that pulls us out.</p>
<p>The Real Game of Monopoly</p>
<p>If open-source models are restricted or controlled, technology ends up in the hands of a few countries or companies. Big firms will guard their models, lock innovation, and make it harder for new players and other nations to catch up.</p>
<p>What's at Stake</p>
<p>The coalition's warning bell made one thing clear: the world needs both frontier closed models and open models. And the pressure started by Huang's letter appears to be working. On August 5, the White House announced that open-weight models would be exempt from its new government security review framework, shifting scrutiny instead toward closed models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.</p>

<p>Before the Update: I type “Hello” and send. My message goes through the Singapore server to Anthropic. Because there are no hidden marks in Claude Code, they only see the proxy server. I am completely invisible.
 The Steganography Update: Anthropic noticed repeated, suspicious requests from proxies but couldn't prove who was behind them. To fix this blind spot, they quietly pushed a software update to Claude Code containing a hidden steganography feature.
 After the Update: Now, as soon as I type "Hello" and send, Claude Code checks my system's time zone in the background. If it detects China, it secretly swaps a standard apostrophe in the hidden system prompt like "Today's date is" with visually identical but technically distinct invisible Unicode characters. These hidden marks basically tell Anthropic: "Hey, this is a Chinese user."
 The Catch: The request still routes through Singapore, but when Anthropic receives it, they read those hidden marks. They completely bypassed the proxy by putting this logic directly inside Claude Code.</p>
<p>How It Was Exposed & My Opinion</p>
<p>I use Claude Code every day. Large-scale data theft by Chinese companies is 100% wrong, and Anthropic has every right to protect its hard work.
 However, secretly implementing steganography in a user's local Claude Code application raises big trust issues. For a company calling itself the most ethical AI lab, doing this without telling anyone disappointed many developers.
 This feature was exposed on June 30, 2026, by independent developers LegitMichel777 and Thereallo while checking the code for a different reason. Otherwise, it might still be a secret today.</p>

It is definitely a good release from Google, but to be very frank, the actual ground reality doesn't match the massive hype they have created.</p>
<p>My all-time favorite was Google's Gemini 3.0 Pro. After that, Gemini 3.1 Pro didn't really impress me that much. So, I started testing 3.5 Flash with some doubts. Here is what the leaderboards claim and what actually happens when you give it real-world tasks.</p>
<p>The Benchmark Illusion vs. Real Execution</p>
<p>If you look at the leaderboards, Gemini 3.5 Flash looks like a massive jump. On paper, it shows scores that easily compete with Gemini 3.1 Pro, heavily showing off that 76% score on Terminal-Bench and claiming speeds up to 4x faster giving around 280+ tokens per second.</p>
<p>But here is the catch:</p>
<p>- Speed vs. Logic: They highlight blistering speed, but in my own projects, this speed is actually deceiving. Generating words fast doesn't mean it is doing the _work_ fast. When I asked it to start a new sequence in my workspace, it took so much time to process. The output typing is fast, but the actual logical execution is very sluggish and sloppy.
- Coding Capabilities: It handles small programming tasks decently. But for long or complex tasks, the pure reasoning is still better in the older 3.1 Pro, and you can easily feel it while working.</p>
<p>The Big Struggle with Large Codebases</p>
<p>The main reality check happened when I used 3.5 Flash for some minor changes in XeL Studio. Because the codebase of XeL Studio is large, the model's performance completely fell flat.</p>
<p>Unlike bigger models that remember coding rules, 3.5 Flash was struggling to follow ongoing instructions. It just doesn't have that deep memory required to handle large codebases properly.</p>
<p>The 1-Million Token Context Fallacy</p>
<p>Google keeps shouting about their 1-million to 2-million token context window. But seriously, what is the point of giving so much context if the model can't even remember or use the information inside it properly?</p>
<p>Even with this huge context, Anthropic's Claude Opus series and the latest OpenAI models are still way ahead in programming. Their context window might look smaller on paper, but their ability to catch small details, fix complex bugs, and strictly follow developer instructions easily beats Google’s current coding models.</p>
<p>Where Gemini 3.5 Flash Actually Shines</p>
<p>But I have to give credit where it's due. It is not totally useless. There are a few things where Google has actually done a great job:</p>
<p>- Cost-Efficiency: At just around $1.50 per million input tokens, it is super cheap and total value for money for lighter tasks.
- Search Integration: Fetching real-time info from search is very much improved.
- Conversational AI: For general users, talking to it like a normal human on daily topics has become much better now.</p>
<p>The Final Verdict</p>
<p>At the end of the day, everybody's use case is different. What fails in my complex coding work might be perfect for your daily tasks. Earlier, my personal testing used to match the leaderboards, but this time, the difference is just too big to ignore.</p>

That upgrade allowed Rising Chat AI to reliably scan over 50 sources at once to provide deeper and more accurate answers. Today, I am making the core code behind that upgrade public. It is called Swift Search Agent.</p>
<p>If you want to give an LLM access to the live internet, many current tools like Perplexica, Farfalle, and Danswer are excellent. However, they can be heavy, requiring 3GB to 5GB of RAM to run their websites and databases. Additionally, when using these tools to feed data to your own LLM, they often pass along hidden website bloat—like invisible ads, navigation menus, and cookie banners. This wastes your API tokens and makes the AI's final response less accurate. Furthermore, while those tools are great for local use, deploying them on a server or VPS often leads to search engines detecting them as bots and blocking the IP.</p>
<p>Swift Search Agent is designed specifically for VPS and servers though it works perfectly locally too. It handles these blocks so your server maintains access. It is an extremely lightweight pipeline, needing only 0.5 GB to 1 GB of RAM. You can even deploy it for free on Hugging Face to create your private search server. If needed, it has the capacity to comfortably pull data from 200 to 300 sources at once.</p>
<p>Why this is useful:
 Server-Ready & Zero Bloat: Runs smoothly on just 0.5 GB RAM and avoids getting blocked on a VPS.
 Saves Tokens and Removes Ads: Unlike other tools that might accidentally pass web junk to the LLM, Swift Search Agent strictly strips out all ads, sidebars, and pop-ups. It gives the AI only the actual clean text.
 Faster & Cheaper: By removing the web junk, it saves processing power, lowers API token costs, and helps the AI stay highly accurate.</p>
<p>Right now, it is a background tool, but I am currently building a simple, lightweight user interface. This upcoming UI will be designed for everyone—providing a good experience for regular users while being fully accessible and comfortable for visually impaired users, all while keeping memory usage very low.</p>
<p>I will be actively maintaining this project. If it ever encounters an issue or stops working due to web changes, I will update and fix it to keep it functional. At the same time, Meta had already finished pre-training a massive 288 billion parameter model called "Behemoth" in 2025, which served as a teacher model for Llama 4.</p>
<p>The scandal finally came to a head in January 2026, when Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun publicly admitted to the manipulation. They didn't just use different versions on different tests—Meta used a powerful, unreleased version of Llama 4 for their biggest marketing test LM Arena to get high scores, while shipping a noticeably weaker version to actual users. <p>In February 2026, as reported by Reuters, they signed a massive official deal worth up to $60 billion for AMD AI chips over 5 years. This is part of a larger $100 billion+ infrastructure setup. They are also renting large Google TPU clusters for extra computing power.</p>
<p>Leadership has completely changed as well. After investing $14.3 billion in Scale AI for a 49% non-voting stake—a move confirmed by outlets like CNBC and Reuters—its founder Alexandr Wang joined Meta as the new Chief AI Officer. Meanwhile, veteran AI scientist Yann LeCun left the company following 600 job cuts at the newly formed Meta Superintelligence Labs in October 2025. Despite this internal chaos and recent delay news, Meta's public statements officially claim training is "on plan, with no meaningful changes."</p>
<p>Moving Away from Fully Open AI
When Avocado finally launches—whether it officially carries the 'Llama 5' name or not—it is expected to be dramatically more efficient. Internal Meta documents, widely reported, suggest Avocado is:
 10 times more compute-efficient than Llama 4 Maverick for text tasks.
 Over 100 times more efficient than the massive Behemoth model.</p>
<p>The biggest shift is Meta's approach to open-source. In the past, Meta released "open-weights" models, meaning the core AI files were publicly available to download. Now, according to The Information, Meta will lock up their absolute largest AI, keeping it closed and likely offering it as a paid service like their competitors.</p>

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I’ve introduced one of the biggest upgrades to Rising Chat AI: a fully customized SearXNG search integration.</p>
<p>What is SearXNG?
SearXNG is an open-source meta-search engine. It allows AI systems and LLMs to access the internet by collecting results from multiple search engines at the same time. This helps the AI analyze many sources, instead of relying on a single limited API.</p>
<p>Normally, SearXNG is designed to run locally on a personal server or local machine. Running it on a public server is very difficult because search engines quickly detect repeated, automated requests from a single IP address and start blocking them. So, simply hosting it online without modifications usually doesn’t work.</p>
<p>How We Solved It
To solve this, I redesigned and optimized the system so it can run reliably on a hosted environment like Hugging Face Spaces. Without these changes, the system would quickly get blocked and stop returning results.</p>
<p>To make it stable, I implemented two important techniques:
 IP Rotation: Every search request goes through different proxy IP addresses, so the main server doesn’t get blocked by search engines.
 User-Agent Rotation: For each request, the browser identity automatically changes. This makes the traffic look like normal human browsing instead of a bot.</p>
<p>Simple Example
Imagine one person asking Google 100 questions in one minute from the same device. The system will quickly detect it as automated traffic and block it. But, if those requests come from different locations and different browsers, it looks like normal users searching the web. That is exactly how this system avoids detection and keeps running smoothly.</p>
<p>Why This Upgrade Was Necessary
Previously, Rising Chat AI relied on the Tavily search API, which had strict limits:
 It allowed only 10 sources per query.
 It had a 1,000 total search limit.</p>
<p>With the new private SearXNG integration, Rising Chat AI can now do much more:
 It can scan over 50 sources for a single query.
 It can support up to 200 sources when needed.
 It delivers far deeper and more accurate answers.</p>
<p>Hosting & Integration
I deployed and optimized this system on Hugging Face Spaces using Turant infrastructure, running 24/7. This upgrade is already integrated into Rising Chat AI. In the future, we will also integrate it into Xel Studio.</p>

<p>Breaking Their Own Rules The 3 Major Violations
To understand why Zoe and other researchers are leaving, we need to look at how OpenAI has violated its own founding principles. They have changed the rules three times:
- _The Non-Profit Foundation – VIOLATED_: OpenAI was founded as a non-profit to build AI that benefits humanity, unconstrained by money. They broke this rule by becoming a "capped-profit" company and are now chasing a $100 billion valuation.
- _Open & Safe Development – VIOLATED_: They promised to be "Open" and share knowledge safely. They broke this rule by becoming secretive and rushing products to beat competitors. This led to the resignation of top researchers like Zoe Hitzig, Ilya Sutskever, and Jan Leike.
- _The "No Ads" Standard – VIOLATED_: For years, leadership stated OpenAI would never rely on ads, arguing that subscriptions were the ethical way. They broke this rule on February 9, 2026, by officially testing ads in the US.</p>
<p>The Critical Question: Will They Break the 4th Rule?
This is the most important logic point. OpenAI currently says: "We rule that we will not use your sensitive data health, personal secrets for ads." But ask yourself: If they broke the Non-Profit rule, the Safety rule, and the No-Ads rule—what guarantee is there that they won't break this 4th rule tomorrow? History shows that once the ad infrastructure is built, the pressure to monetize that "Archive of Human Truth" will be impossible to resist.</p>

When I tested using GitHub Copilot Codex with multiple questions, it reviewed code faster than alternatives. Example prompts: "Review this Python script for a web scraper—check for efficiency"; "Analyze this JavaScript function for a login system—fix any bugs"; "Evaluate this bash script for automating backups—identify errors." These show its strength in practical reviews. Overall, choose Opus for depth and foresight, Codex for speed in coding and reviews. <p>The AI space is moving extremely fast, with new models launching frequently. However, not everyone wants—or is able—to pay for multiple premium subscriptions just to test them. LM Arena solves this problem by providing access to 50+ high-quality models, including premium and pro-level models, all in one place. Whenever a new model is released, users can quickly test:</p>

<p>When Google Antigravity first launched, I tried it around December, roughly 5 days after release. At that time, the experience felt decent but not particularly special. It worked fine, but it didn’t clearly stand out compared to other AI-assisted coding tools. Most workflows relied mainly on Gemini 3 Pro, which was available for free, but for more complex problems, the results felt limited. Things changed noticeably after Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.5 and GPT-5 were added, alongside Gemini 3 Pro which continues to be freely available. One useful aspect is that you can choose any one of these three models depending on your task, whether you need stronger reasoning, better code generation, or more structured planning. Opus 4.5 is widely regarded as one of the best coding and reasoning models in the world, and having it available for free is extremely rare. This upgrade clearly improved code quality, long-context reasoning, and multi-step problem solving, while GPT-5 further strengthened planning and execution.</p>
<p>Compared to tools like Cursor and Windsurf, Antigravity feels less like an AI-assisted editor and more like an agent-driven workspace. Cursor excels at fast inline suggestions, and Windsurf focuses on guided coding flows, whereas Antigravity emphasizes task ownership by agents—where a task is planned, executed, verified, and iterated as a complete workflow. This approach works especially well for larger features, automation workflows, and real application development. Another strong aspect is real-time browser verification, where Antigravity can open a browser, test its own output, and confirm whether something actually works, automatically fixing issues when needed and reducing manual testing.</p>
<p>Using Google Antigravity, I added search functionality in our Rising Telegram bot to provide real-time information, Please note our Telegram bot is offline for 3 days right now.
