SpaceX Selected To Launch NASA's Roman Space Telescope On Falcon Heavy

SpaceX has been selected by NASA to launch its next flagship observatory, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, using a Falcon Heavy launch vehicle, marking a major partnership for deep‑space science missions.

NASA says the Roman telescope will study dark energy and exoplanets, continuing the agency’s quest to understand the universe, and will be placed at the Sun‑Earth L2 point for stable observations, supporting future missions.

Roman Space Telescope will carry a 300‑centimeter primary mirror, a wide‑field infrared instrument and a coronagraph, providing imaging power far beyond Hubble, enabling surveys of distant galaxies and dark‑energy mapping.
