Renewable Growth – Overall renewable energy capacity additions rose 25 percent in the first half of 2026, driven primarily by large‑scale solar projects, pushing total renewable capacity beyond 200 GW, Business Standard’s industry analysis noted.

Investment Outlook – Outlook Business projects total energy investment to hit a record $170 billion in 2026, with renewable projects attracting roughly $45 billion for solar and wind infrastructure, underscoring strong policy support and private sector confidence.
