India Constructs Ten Olympic Training Centres Ahead of 2026 Games

India has completed construction of ten state‑of‑the‑art Olympic training centres across the country, each equipped with sport‑specific facilities, accommodation and medical units to support athletes targeting the 2026 Games.

Indian Olympic Association hosted its second Athletes’ Forum in 2026, gathering over 200 elite competitors and coaches to review preparation plans, share performance data and align on resource allocation for the upcoming Olympic cycle.

Sports Authority of India is coordinating the rollout, assigning senior officials to each centre, establishing monitoring dashboards and committing ₹5 billion in funding to ensure world‑class standards and timely readiness before the qualification events.

Press Information Bureau issued an official release confirming the ten centres, outlining their geographic distribution in north, south, east and west regions, and stating that they will be fully operational before the national selection trials commence later in the year.
