ALIMCO Partners With Honda India Foundation To Expand Assistive Device Access Nationwide

ALIMCO joins forces with Honda India Foundation in a partnership aimed at strengthening access to assistive devices for people with disabilities throughout India, combining the public‑sector manufacturer’s expertise with the corporate foundation’s community outreach capabilities.

Honda India Foundation will allocate resources and logistical support to expand the distribution network, targeting remote and underserved areas where assistive devices have previously been scarce, thereby reducing barriers for users who need mobility or communication aids.

The collaboration expects to improve supply chain efficiency, lower costs for end‑users, and increase the number of devices reaching households, schools and health centers, which advocates say could enhance independence and social inclusion for thousands of individuals nationwide.

Stakeholders including disability groups and local authorities have welcomed the effort, noting that broader device availability can reduce dependence on informal aid, promote greater participation in community activities, and align with national goals for inclusive development.
