Google Expands Gemini AI Suite With 3.8 Flash, New Models and Robotics 2.0

Google is preparing a new version of its Gemini AI called 3.8 Flash, designed to narrow the coding performance gap between AI assistants, according to a Wall Street Journal report. It aims to improve code generation speed and accuracy for developers.

Gemini suite now includes three fresh models released this week, expanding the lineup but omitting a 3.5 Pro version that analysts expected. The new models target different workloads: a lightweight chat model, a balanced coding assistant, and a high‑capacity research model.

Gemini Robotics 2.0 was unveiled alongside the AI updates, promising better dexterity and safety for robot manipulators. The upgrade adds finer motor control and new sensor integration, intended for manufacturing and logistics use.

Google Cloud will host the new Gemini models, giving developers scalable access through the cloud platform and enabling easy integration into existing workflows.
