SpaceX Completes First Orbital Starship Flight Deploying Starlink Satellites From Texas

SpaceX launched its Starship vehicle on the first orbital mission from the Boca Chica site in Texas, marking the company’s initial attempt to place the fully reusable system into orbit and test its integrated Super Heavy booster.

Starship completed a full orbital trajectory, spent several minutes in micro‑gravity, then re‑entered the atmosphere and splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, where recovery crews retrieved the vehicle after a controlled descent.

Starlink payloads were released during the flight, adding new satellites to the constellation and proving Starship’s capacity to carry commercial payloads, a key step toward using the vehicle for large‑scale satellite deployments.
