Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Surpasses 90 Crore Health ID Registrations, Building Largest Ecosystem

Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission – The government announced during Arogya Manthan 2026 that the ABDM has surpassed 90 crore (900 million) ABHA health ID accounts, a record digital health enrollment since its launch five years ago.

Health Ministry – Officials reported that the ABHA accounts now cover citizens in every state, both urban and rural, enabling access to electronic health records, teleconsultations, and seamless linkage with insurance schemes such as PM‑JAY.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi – At the Arogya Manthan event, Modi called the 90‑crore ABHA milestone proof that India is creating the world’s largest digital health ecosystem, emphasizing the role of digital IDs in improving care for millions.

Policy Push – The government is urging citizens to register for ABHA IDs, noting that broader enrollment will streamline PM‑JAY claim verification, enhance health data integration, and support future AI‑driven health analytics.
