Uttar Pradesh Government Earns Recognition for Linking Millions of Health Records Under Ayushman Bharat
Uttar Pradesh Government received recognition for linking millions of patient health records to the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission platform, creating a unified digital health ID for beneficiaries across the state. The integration covers primary, secondary and tertiary care facilities, enabling real‑time access to medical histories.
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission officials said the rollout involved deploying interoperable software, conducting data validation audits and training staff in over 3,000 health centers. The audits aim to ensure data accuracy and privacy compliance as the scheme moves into its next phase in the state.
Health Minister Nadda highlighted that before the scheme, families often sold homes to pay for treatment, and the digital system now reduces out‑of‑pocket expenses by streamlining claim processing and preventing duplicate tests.
National Health Authority plans to expand the digital linking to additional states, targeting integration of over 200 million beneficiaries nationwide by 2027, and expects the system to cut administrative costs by up to 20 percent while improving patient outcomes.
