Rajnath Singh – The defence minister announced approval for transferring DRDO missile technology to domestic firms, citing regional security concerns and the need for self‑reliance, as part of the VIMARSH 2026 policies that target MSMEs.
DRDO – Under the new policy, technology from nine missile and defence systems will be handed to ten Indian companies, broadening the industrial base and expanding indigenous production capacity, creating an estimated increase in defence output.
