SAI Bengaluru – The Bengaluru facility has installed the Smart Track, which records each runner’s stride length, speed and ground‑contact time, allowing coaches to review performance metrics immediately after every session.

Indian athletes – Sprinters, middle‑distance runners and hurdlers are among the participants, training on the sensor‑enabled surface for several hours each day to fine‑tune technique and build endurance ahead of the continental competition.

Asian Games 2026 – Officials say the data‑driven Smart Track program is expected to boost India’s medal chances, with the system slated to remain in use through the final pre‑Games trials and selection events.
