Jay Shah is being positioned as the key administrator who will negotiate salary structures, sponsor deals and tournament scheduling to ensure women’s cricket receives comparable financial support to the men’s game for women's cricket.

BCCI plans to launch new domestic women’s leagues, increase broadcast coverage and allocate dedicated funding, steps that aim to raise participation numbers and improve player earnings over the next few seasons across regional centers.

Women's Cricket advocates welcomed the statements, noting that clear commitment from the BCCI and its president could translate into higher prize money, better training facilities and a stronger pipeline for future talent in upcoming tournaments.
